Askeli beach - Poros island

• Askeli is the most busiest and most renowned beach on the island, thanks to its location, sandy shore, and turquoise waters.
• It is situated on the southeast side of Kalavria, below the pine-covered settlement of the same name.
• Free umbrellas are provided by Poros Municipal Port Organization.
• It features a beach volleyball court, a water sports school, a diving school, boat rentals, changing rooms, showers, and there are organized sections along the beach.
• You will find taverns and cafeterias.
• 65 shared umbrellas are provided free of charge by the Port Fund of the Municipality of Poros, while shared showers and changing rooms are also available.
Tip: Please do not leave personal belongings on the free umbrellas to reserve them. Our physical presence is enough, and it is important to keep the area clean.

Russian Bay beach

• Russian Bay is the last organized beach to the West. It has a canteen, an organized and a free beach.
• In the center of the beach dominate the ruins of the 19th Century Mediterranean Fleet of the Russian Navy.
• Nearby is Daskalio Island, which you can go by swimming.• On the beach, there are facilities for the convenience and safe access of People with Disabilities to the sea. These facilities were installed in the summer of 2020 and include: A certified ramp with a SEATRAC rolling chair, A beach boardwalk, Changing rooms, Showers, and A restroom. The ramp is operated with a remote control kept at the nearby kiosk, and anyone interested can request it from the staff there or by calling the Municipality of Poros at the five-digit phone number 15303. This particular project, which includes two similar installations (at the beaches of Agios Stefanos and Russian Naval Station), was funded by the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) and cost 111,662€.
